Abstract
Agriculture has a very important place at the point of feeding the population itself. With the development of Agriculture, humanity continues its progress. Soil fertility enhancing planting, spraying, fertilizing methods, the mechanization of agriculture, high-yield hybrid seeds has provided to be sufficient to meet the food needs of the population in agricultural production. Especially it was dramatically saving time and effort with mechanization. Excess labor occurred in the agricultural sector has created the phenomenon of migration from rural to urban glides to other sectors. In this study, the efficiency of mechanization in agriculture and agricultural production in Turkey, is being investigated its impact on agricultural employment. In this context, 2009Q1-2018Q2 period between the level of mechanization in Turkey, the number of employed in the agricultural sector, agricultural Gross Domestic Product values and the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model analysis was performed with statistical data on agricultural land in the same period. The findings of this study show that there is a significant relationship between the level of mechanization in agriculture and the rate of agricultural employment in the long run. Another result is the effect of productivity on agricultural employment. According to findings, there was no long-run relationship between productivity and agricultural employment. However, productivity in the short run affects the rate of agricultural employment. Finally, it is observed that the average income affects the employment rate negatively in long run in agriculture sector in Turkey.

Tarımda Verimlilik ve Makineleşmenin Tarımsal İstihdam Üzerindeki Etkisi: Türkiye Örneği

Ozet
Tarım nüfusun kendini besleme noktasında çok önemli bir yere sahiptir. Tarımın gelişimi ile beraber insanlık ilerlemesini devam ettirebilmektedir. Toprak verimliliğini arttırıcı ekim, ilaçlama ve gübreleme yöntemleri, tarımın mekanizasyonu ve yüksek verimli hibrit tohumlar tarımsal üretimin nüfusun gıda ihtiyacını karşılamada yeterli olmasını sağlamıştır. Özellikle mekanizasyon ile birlikte zamandan ve emekten büyük oranda tasarruf edilmiştir. Tarım sektöründe meydana gelen fazla işgücü diğer sektörlere kayarak kırdan kente göç olgusunu yaratmıştır. Bu çalışmada, Türkiye’de tarımda makineleşmenin ve tarımsal üretimde verimliliğin, tarım istihdamı üzerindeki etkisi araştırılmaktadır. Bu bağlamda Türkiye’deki 2009Q1-2018Q2 dönemleri arasındaki mekanizasyon düzeyi, tarım sektöründeki istihdam sayıları, tarımsal Gayri Safi Yurtiçi Hasıla değerleri ve aynı dönemdeki tarım alanı istatistiki verileri ile ARDL analizi yapılmıştır. Bu çalışmanın bulgularına göre, tarımdaki makineleşme düzeyi ile uzun vadede tarımsal istihdam oranı arasında anlamlı bir ilişki olduğunu göstermektedir. Diğer bir sonuç ise verimliliğin tarımsal istihdam üzerindeki etkisidir. Bulgulara göre, verimlilik ile tarımsal istihdam arasında uzun vadeli bir ilişki yoktur. Ancak, kısa vadede verimlilik tarımsal istihdam oranını etkilemektedir. Son olarak, Türkiye'de tarım sektöründe ortalama gelirin istihdam oranını uzun vadede olumsuz etkilediği görülmektedir.
